This “editorial” was completed for a course on staging special events and reflects several of TRU’s ILOs, particularly communication, critical thinking, and professionalism. Through this assignment, I demonstrate my ability to analyze and report on live events using clear, engaging storytelling while maintaining an objective and professional tone.
It highlights my communication and critical thinking skills in how I evaluate event execution, paying close attention to atmosphere, audience experience, and production details. I move beyond simple description to assess what was effective and where improvements could be made. It is also a demonstration of some of my design skills and formatting
This reflects how I approach the event from a public relations perspective, understanding the importance of perception, execution, and audience impact. Overall, this piece demonstrates skills that are directly transferable to a future career in public relations and event management.
